The AARP Smart Driver course is coming to our local communities! Since 1979, the course has helped over 14 million drivers learn strategies that help them take into account the physical and cognitive changes we experience as we age. The course further identifies the most common crash situations we face, and helps reduce the chances of having a crash.
AARP’s Smart Driver classes are approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, and meet the requirements for a PA driver improvement course discount. Both 4-hour and 8-hour courses are offered – there are no graded tests! First-time participants are required to take the 8-hour class; repeat participants may opt for the 4-hour course if they possess a valid 3-year certificate.
