Brent joined the Strickler Agency in November 2019. He began his insurance career as a risk control consultant for a national carrier in 2016, providing risk control services to a variety of clients, including Construction, Manufacturing, Healthcare, and Public Entities.
Brent graduated from Millersville University in December 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety and Environmental Health. While enrolled at Millersville, he completed three safety internships: the first for an international tile manufacturer, the second with a well drilling company, and the third with the national insurance carrier mentioned above.
Brent currently holds the Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP) designation and is working toward his Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification in 2020. He is an active member of the American Society of Safety Professionals, Central PA Chapter, and is an authorized Accident and Illness Prevention Provider in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Brent specializes in working with his clients to develop strategic goals to improve their safety programs, develop and conduct effective safety training topics and presentations, effective incident investigations including root cause analysis, and mitigating exposures to risk.
In his free time, Brent enjoys playing golf, riding his bike, especially on the Green Belt in Harrisburg, and bass fishing on Lake George in New York. He is also a baseball umpire for the Cumberland Valley Umpires Association and works Little League, PIAA, recreational, and men’s league games. Additionally, Brent serves as the head umpire for the Shermans Dale Youth Baseball Association.
