Gary joined the Strickler Agency in April 2018.  He has worked in various underwriting, management, marketing and sales roles with a national insurance company and large regional broker.  Gary’s consultative approach to insurance and risk management helps clients maximize their bottom line.  His active listening skills, business transparency and ability to create customized insurance solutions helps his clients make educated and informed business decisions.  Gary specializes in agribusiness, energy, forestry insurance and risk management solutions; however, he enjoys the challenges of learning new and different industries.

Gary earned his undergraduate degree in Finance from Shippensburg University.  He holds the Agribusiness and Farm Insurance Specialist (AFIS) designation.  His background in finance gives him the ability to analyze a company’s financial statements to pinpoint financial leakage and provide a customized “Business Risk” solution to improve EBITDA, margins and shareholder value.

Gary lives in Boiling Springs with his wife, Kat, where they are very active in volunteering their time for the community.  On evenings, and weekends, he’s likely watching one of his six children compete in basketball, football, soccer, swimming or other extracurricular events.  A native of Perry County, Gary enjoys being outdoors.  He likes hunting, fishing, running and, most important to him, spending time with family.
